40 poker cards, 6 facing up and 34 facing down. Your eyes are closed and you don't know which 6 cards are facing up. How can you divide these 40 cards into 2 groups so that each group has the same number of cards facing up?2 AnswersCut them all in halfYou divide to two packs, A and B. You allocate x cards in total in pack A, and B will then have 40 - x cards. (You can determine this x). Suppose there are y cards facing up in A, then A has x - y cards facing down, B have 6 - y cards facing up, and 40 - x - (6 - y) = 34 - x + y cards facing down. At first look, it is not guaranteed to have y = 3 to have equal number of facing up cards in A and B since you cannot control y. But what you can do now is to flip cards in any deck. If you flip all cards in a deck, then the number of up and down cards will switch. So if you flip all cards in pack B, then B will have 34 - x + y up cards, and 6 - y down cards. Now, what you need to do is to let y = 34 - x + y --> x = 34. Therefore, the solution is that you divide the deck to 34-6 division, and flip all cards upside down in the 6-card deck.

Why is your resume jumpy? 2 AnswersActually, my resume is not jumpy, my three previous firms were acquired (if the person knew anything about the marketplace, they would have known this...)I don't even know why this should be an issue. As long as you got to work and gain experience, I don't think a "jumpy resume" would hinder your candidacy negatively.
