I would get to know the team and understand what currently drives them and keeps them busy. I'd also get to know other internal and external stakeholders so that I could do a stakeholder analysis. I would do a deep dive into the short- and longer-term business objectives and see how this lines up with my stakeholder analysis. Then I would set out targets for the team and re-align current individual targets and activities to ensure we could succeed. I would also implement a more robust performance dashboard to track inputs, outputs and outcomes so that the team is accountable and so internal stakeholders, especially the leadership team, understand the value the team delivers. FDA issues a request for "voluntary product withdrawal." Team had to act quickly to empty store shelves of product, and to also get message out on radio, TV etc. Prepare talking statements for senior management. Less
I was very well qualified and eventually did get the position, but because I did not know the word match and did not parrot back exact wording, I was initially turned down as not being eligible
The HR director asked, How do you want your colleagues to treat you? How much weight should they give to my views or experience?
