There was no interview process, this is a teaching position for graduate students. Generally, I found the teaching options to be diverse and fulfilling, as I taught classes related to my research (Genetics & Evolution) as well as to my interests (Herpetology, Organismal Biology).

Since this was about teaching algebra to inexperienced students, I was also asked to explain why a number raised to the zeroth power is always one.

Answered based on my past experiences from working in tough conditions. I was lucky that the scenario given was one that I have actually gone through. So i elaborated with examples and the outcome of what happened and that seemed to be an acceptable answer. Less
