What do you mean by invasive/time consuming background check? I was thinking about applying to a job there but it sounds like they are not very organzied. Thank you. Less

I had to provide copies of paystubs to verify my employment (both current, and from when I began working at that position). And when I had a question about the background check for the outside agency they were using, my call was filtered to an overseas call center. I didn't get the impression my personal information was all that secure.. And just the process of pulling everything together took a long time.. I hope this helps! Less

Yes, that helps a lot about future jobs with UMass library. I wont be applying to the job. What if you said no to the paystubs? That is a lot of personal information. I wonder what they were trying to look at that they needed a copy of your paystubs. Thank you. Less
