I applied online. I interviewed at marlo marketing in Apr 2017
Interview
Applied online through a job board. I got a call back from a member of their senior management a week later asking to come in for an interview, and to complete a writing assignment in advance. They didn't set up a phone screening in advance, they just asked me a couple questions and wanted me to come into the office to meet in person. This was a red flag - every job opportunity where I've made it to the interview stage has set up a phone interview first.
Also, they wanted me to interview for a different position than the one I applied for. Finally, they were very aggressive and wanted me to come in at times where I couldn't come in (I already had a full time job and would've had to call in sick). I ended up cancelling the in person interview. They seem pretty disorganized and I didn't get a good feeling.
Multiple rounds, recorded interview, ask for you to complete real life work assignments, then meet with a member of the team. Very fun and enjoyable process. If you are creative and like writing, apply!

Interview
Contacted via email to set up a 1 hour long phone interview. Interviewed by I would assume the hiring manager but sounded as though multiple people were on the line. After interview was sent a writing assignment which consisted of a press release and two short form blogs.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about your past experience, what drew you to the company and the normal questions.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at marlo marketing (Boston, MA) in Jun 2018
Interview
I only had a phone interview and was very excited for the role, but the interview was very brief and I often felt the person interviewing was not listening. After answering questions regarding my experience they had asked about expected salary and start date, both of which I was flexible about and the conversation ended abruptly. Wish the phone interview had gone better and was more conversational.
