I gave an example from a previous job where I took a phone call from a nurse looking for help obtaining a result for a test that was done at a reference lab. I wasn’t the person that had that information and the nurse was upset that she was transferred to a couple different people already. I didn’t try to transfer her. Even though it wasn’t my department, I took her info and found the answer on my own and called her back. No one likes to be transferred around endlessly.
