Describe a time you were able to mentor someone on your team?

Intuitive (Intuitive Surgical)

Intuitive wants high-energy people with a record of achievement, but who are also humble and can operate well in the company's culture. Questions were generally standard in terms of explaining examples of solving problems in the past and outlook on interacting with parts of the business where there could be conflict. Mostly this process aimed at determining if the personality would fit well within the group - the qualification piece wasn't something that they asked much about. It was more about soft skills vs. hard skills.

I just tried to be myself, and I think that Intuitive wants its successful candidates to bring their experience and energy to this dynamic company in a way that allows them to be themselves. However, successful candidates here need to have strong emotional intelligence cues to know what situations require different methods and approaches to people - adaptability and strong understanding of emotional cues are something they're looking for in candidates.
