You have got two candles and each candle will burn for half an hour. You are put in dark room with a match stick. You have to measure exactly 45 minutes and come out of the room.9 AnswersBurn the both ends of the candle so you measure 15 Minutes and the remaining 30 minutes you can burn the candleBurn one candle at a time. Let the first candle burn fully which will take 30 minutes and then let the second candle burn half its way which will be 15 minutes approximately. Leave the room as the total estimated time becomes 45 minutes by then.First light-up the two ends of the 1st candle and one end of the 2ndcandle.When the 1st candle will burn out ,then light up the both ends of the 2ndcandle(15+30=45)Show more responseslight one candle when it comes to half of other it takes 15 min now burm the other candle fully would take other 30 mins total time 45 minsburn the first candle and take second candle as reference. when the first candle burns till the half of the reference candle then burn the 2nd candle leaving the first candle . so when the second candel burns out completely it will be 45 minutes(15+30)assuming that we can burn the candle from both the end. burn1st candle completely , it will take 30 min . now burn 2nd candle from both the end , it will take 15 min.now 15 + 30 = 451. Burn The First Candle Fully = 30 minutes 2. After Then , Burn The Second Fom Both The Sides = 15 minutes 3. Total = 45 (30+15) minutesfirstly we can burn i candle from one side only & let this burn when its about to extinguish burn the other candle from both sides hence, we ''ll get 30 + 15 =45 minutesburn first candle then 2nd and note the time in ur wrist watch after exactly 45 miin come out ... lol

Suppose there are many team members who are unhappy with the role they are assigned and want to change roles. However, the current requirements am require them to continue performing their current roles? How would you handle such a situation?7 Answersi gave them friendly envirmnt and i also work them with like friend so that they do their role very justice fullyMotivate them to a perform their task to a particular time untill they are intrested or provide an oppurrtunity that the top most performer will be rewarded with their desired roles.I will make them fill like they are best in the roles they are assigned... And also prove it...Show more responsesI will try to provide friendly environment to them, try to lessen the work pressure as well as will appreciate their and if possible give them rewards. Rewards and appreciations are great motivators.i'll tell them since they r best at the roles they can perform they shud take it as a challenge and prove themselves in ths sphere also,so tht they are as gud as all rounders...I give them a different way to perform their roles...I would like to go for face-to-face conversations with them and would discuss in detail with them about those things which they dislike in their present roles. Then I would find ways to make their present roles a bit attractive which could appeal them.

How is the relation with your dad?6 AnswersRelation was always been great with my father. He is the one whom I always admired for his handwork and commitment. He is very disciplined and want me to be the same. Always a good guide and friendly.I'm familiar with the interview process at Symantec. I really doubt this was one of the questionsIt really does not help to put fake questions on this site. Someone could actually get in big trouble for asking a question like that in an interview!!!Show more responsesDid you guys who think this is fake realize that the job was in India and interviewed for in India? That very well could be an appropriate question in India. This is not an appropriate question in India as well. But it is not illegal, so you may not get sued. You may not get sued, but still the question remains to be unethical. No firm would tolerate such behavior.

There is gold bar given to you every week. You have a person working for you. At the end of the day you have give that person a piece from that gold bar and equal amount of piece each day(7 pieces 7 days). But the condition is you are given a whole gold bar and you have to break it in 7 pieces with 3 strikes only. You cant melt it or cut horizontally. N.B : It's a gold bar and not gold cake so its not round but rectangular.5 AnswersI couldn't answer that!In 3 strikes you have 8 equal pieces. Strike 1 - 2 pieces. Keep one piece over other. Strike 2- 4 pieces. Keep all 4 stacked. Strike 3 - 8 pieces. Give 7 equal pieces to the person working for you and keep one for yourself :)Cut it into 4 part where the parts are 1, 2, 2 and 2 segments long. Day 1 - Give 1 segment bar Day 2 - Give 2 segment bar ask for 1 segment bar back Day 3 - Give 1 segment bar Day 4 - Give 2 segment bar ask for 1 segment bar back Day 5 - Give 1 segment bar Day 6 - Give 2 segment bar ask for 1 segment bar back Day 7 - Give 1 segment barShow more responsesYour only task is that you have to give that person 1 unit of bar each day as his salary. You can do it in 2 strikes. Cut the bar in 2 strikes to get 3 pieces of 1, 2, 4 units of length. Day 1 - Give 1 unit bar Day 2 - Take 1 unit bar and give 2 unit bar Day 3 - Give 1 unit bar Day 4 - Take 1 and 2 unit bar and give 4 unit bar Day 5 - Give 1 unit bar Day 6 - Take 1 unit bar and give 2 unit bar Day 7 - Give 1 unit bar1st cut |=|=|=|=|X|=|=|=| giving you |=|=|=|=| |=|=|=| Then stack the block of 3 on TOP of the block of 4 2nd cut |=|=|X|=|=| through 2 layers giving you |=|=| |=|=| |=|=| |=| Then stack the 3 blocks of 2 on TOP of each other 3rd cut |=|X|=| through 3 layers giving you |=| |=| |=| |=| |=| |=| |=|
