I answered "vi", as you need it for pretty much everything on Linux, and if used well, it can be powerful. I got the feeling this wasn't the correct answer - maybe something like 'top' would've gone down better, but it was such a left field question that I had no point of reference to give a better answer on the spot! My favorite command is man. It tells you all you need to know about any command.
The most unexpected question was in regards to how to use the product with a more business focused audience. My only exposure to Splunk was with the technical side, so it was something that I had to think about before just answering.

Never heard of such question , I was wandering they are conducting sales interview or nonsense,They asked about my customer,upcoming projects and their name and telephone number and asked me to leave for the day similarly they have done with few canditates. Less
