I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at theScore (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2024
Interview
Interview Process starts with initial video call with recruiter to understand about company and to know about yourself. Then the technical interview is 2 part process. Part 1 is a live app development and if you clear that then you go onto second part. Interviewers and recruiter were very chill people. Shout out to Billy S. 🤘🏻

Interview
I applied tru linkedin, I got a first call with the recruiter and then 2 interviews loops.
Each loop is about 2h and a half.
First interview loop was doing some code and the second interview loop was about doing system design and your experience.
I felt an excellent connection between the team and I, they truly got an incredible culture and I get impressed by the extremely high coverage percentage that they got (seriously).
Unfortunately I had to decline the offer as other employer offer full legal services to get my Permanent Residency. I got 7yoe and I have been in a lot of interviews and theScore has one of the best ever interview process on my life. Shoutout to Billy S.

Interview
Recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn and set up an initial screening call. Had a 2 hour (ended up taking 1.5 hours) Android specific technical interview scheduled 2 weeks later. The interview was reasonable and the I completed it in ~1 hour so had a lot of time to ask the team questions. The interviewers were nice and asked good questions. I didn't hear anything after a week so I followed up with the recruiter and got the response that the team thought I wasn't good enough for senior, but my salary expectations don't line up with intermediate. This was super confusing because the salary range I provided in the recruiter chat did in fact line up with the intermediate range the recruiter shared with me. Not sure what went wrong, but I wish I received some real feedback and not a fake reason for being rejected.
