Responsibilities for Assistant Property Manager
- Assist in day-to-day operations of the property management company
- Provide direct communication with and assistance to tenants
- Respond directly and immediately to property-related issues as they arise
- Procure necessary materials or services for property maintenance, as needed
- Collaborate with property management team to create advertisement materials
- Utilize productivity software to generate and deliver communications for tenants and other stakeholders
- Supervise community and property management employees, including maintenance crews
- Respond to requests from local governments and communities to ensure legal compliance in all managed properties
Qualifications for Assistant Property Manager
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree may be necessary, depending on industry served
- Real estate broker license may be required, depending on property management company location
- Other licenses or certificates may be necessary, depending on company location
- 1-3 years of previous experience working in property management
- Proven knowledge and understanding of property management procedures, including legal requirements
- Experience using common operating system, such as Microsoft Windows or MacOS
- Comfort creating reports and other materials using Microsoft Word and other tools
