We are looking for an experienced and responsible Senior Manager – Operations to manage, coordinate, and monitor the day-to-day business operations of a Chennai-based multi-business group.
The candidate will work directly with the promoter and will be responsible for business coordination, team management, client follow-up, lead tracking, collections, documentation, MIS reporting, staff supervision, vendor coordination, and operational control across different business verticals.
The role requires a practical, disciplined, and result-oriented person who can handle multiple businesses, manage teams, follow up with clients, solve daily operational issues, and report clearly to the management.
1. Overall Business Operations
The Senior Manager – Operations will be responsible for managing daily business activities across all verticals.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitor daily operations of all business units.
- Coordinate between promoters, partners, staff, clients, vendors, banks, and field teams.
- Prepare and maintain business-wise task trackers.
- Ensure all pending work is followed up and completed on time.
- Create a proper reporting and follow-up system for each business.
- Maintain discipline, accountability, and workflow control across the organization.
- Escalate major issues to the promoter immediately.
- Ensure every business has proper documentation, client records, payment records, and staff records.
2. Client Coordination and Follow-Up
- Handle client calls, meetings, and follow-ups.
- Maintain client-wise work status.
- Track pending documents from clients.
- Follow up for approvals, quotations, agreements, payments, and renewals.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure client work is completed on time.
- Maintain client relationship and service quality.
- Record client complaints and ensure closure.
3. Lead Management and Business Development Support
- Maintain a centralized lead tracker for all businesses.
- Allocate leads to the respective business team.
- Follow up on new enquiries and conversion status.
- Track quotation sent, negotiation stage, confirmation stage, and lost leads.
- Support the promoter in business development meetings.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities between different business units.
- Prepare weekly lead conversion report.
