    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ months. I interviewed at Atkins (Epsom, England (UK)) in January 2020.

    Interview

I applied online in November. Completed situational judgement test and online ability tests. Phone interview in December- relaxed and asked about reasons for applying and future aspirations. Received an assessment centre in January consisting of a presentation from current employees, a half an hour test, an individual interview, a lunch break with current employees and a group exercise.

test- mine was for advanced technology so consisted mainly of dynamics questions and moments calculations. They give you more questions than usually possible to complete.

interview- two current employees went over my test answers and gave me a chance to correct my mistakes. I got quite a few of the test questions wrong and found this to be a good chance to redeem myself. Also asked about why I applied for the role. Was generally quite a relaxed casual chat.

lunch break- this gives you a chance to ask questions and give a good impression.

group exercise- group of around 5 of us were given 4 different regions in a fictional country in need of future development and we were tasked with deciding which one we would like to invest in. A lot of information is given to read so try to skim and pick out important points. They watch how you interact mainly and there isn't really a 'correct' answer.
