I have been working at Bayer as an intern (Less than a year)
An international company, people are open mind and friendly. The management team is very supportive. You get the chance to work from home one day per week. Having the chance to participate in the global project.
the pharmaceutical industry faces the patent cliff and cut back of healthcare. The revenue in the pharmaceutical industry decreases. The career opportunity may be limited in the near future.

I applied online. The process took 4+ months. I interviewed at Bayer (Montville, NJ (US)) in February 2013.
Interview is relatively easy, because you won't get one without meeting their minimum academic or work experience requirement. Negotiating salary takes forever because HR in Piitsburg has to consult with Berlin, and that takes weeks, sometimes months! Know the company, the drugs/products, and show your true personality.thry hire more on group dynamic than experience.
Very limited negotiations, and it takes forever because of the back and forth between Pittsburgh and Berlin.
