    Pros

    Cisco is a great company to work for. It is of course a very large company however, most people work in small to medium teams. It has a culture that cares about employees, and there is a lot of opportunity for advancement.

    Cons

    This is a minor con however, in some cases when trying to work on projects that cross organizational boundaries, the bureaucracy of a very large company will show itself and it can be difficult to navigate.

    I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Cisco Systems (Durham, NC (US)) in June 2021.

    Interview

    Had what I thought was a pleasant interview with the hiring manager. Was told I would move onto the next steps. Didn't hear anything for a couple of weeks so I followed up with the recruiters a couple of times. No response. Finally, I got an automated thanks but no thanks response from a staffing agency. Really disappointed that they would do that. Not sure if I'd be interested in working for them after this experience.
