I worked at Context Information Security as a contractor (Less than a year)
The best part about working at Context is the friendly environment. Although the org chart is quite management heavy, it doesn't stop it from feeling like quite a flat structure. You feel like you can approach anyone regardless of their level. It is far from being a stuffy environment.
There's a great work-life balance for most. Context care about their people and have perks for everyone regardless of what their employees interest are (company parties, recognising alternative holiday and celebrations, drinks on Friday, games room, well being sessions)
The org chart is too management heavy.
Finance seems segregated from the rest of the company
There are rumours of low salary and lack of pay increases during appraisal time
Advice to Management
Even though finance deal with sensitive material, it would be nice to find a way to integrate finance into a more communal working space.
I applied online. I interviewed at Context Information Security (London, England (UK)) in June 2019.
The interview consisted of a telephone interview discussing background. The role and team seemed far too stretched. Even though there was job flexibility, it seemed this was very much according to how popular you were in the organisation.
The interviewer lacked any humanity and needs people skills, I can just imagine the work life had this progressed favourably. Needless to say I don't think I was that disappointed with the end result.
