I have been working at Epic Games full-time (Less than a year)
Do incredible things, often at massive scale. Work with highly skilled people. Great pay, perks and support
Poor diversity in tech roles. Some org chaos. Heavy legal burden for employees, need to avoid leaks, can't work on outside projects, can't do any development related talks
Advice to Management
Work to improve diversity, make the company more remote friendly. Make it more of a leader in open source tech
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Epic Games (Bellevue, WA (US)) in September 2018.
Phone call. 1 on 1 Meeting. Take-home technical. The take-home test is extremely easy, but still a bit time consuming(better part of a day if you know what you're doing). I submitted work at a level of quality and robustness I would generally expect a callback based on past experience.
After several weeks they responded to the submission with a rejection and no feedback as to why.
I honestly feel this was a waste of my time. You should not require such large time commitments of applicants if you're not willing to provide them feedback from the process.
