    Pros

Love the company, the technology, and working for truly advanced technology.

    Cons

Although the Draper office is the 2nd largest site at the company, the Draper office does not get the benefits as the San Jose office. I used to love my job and loved coming into work but with a few recent hires of management, the culture has become much worse and now I come to work simply to make money.

    Advice to Management

Go to bat for us! It would be nice to have some of the benefits of Milpitas (lunch, bagels, WFH, improved culture, and treating employees like adults!)

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at FireEye (Salt Lake City, UT (US)) in July 2017.

    Interview

Phone screen followed by a 2-3 hour in-person interview. Interviews were done by several different persons/teams depending on the topic.

Started with the HR person who asked puzzle/riddle questions that weren't hard. I can't remember the exact questions, but they were pretty much oddly worded simple math problems.

Other teams asked broad technical questions to gauge my overall knowledge.

    Discussed compensation and company benefits.

    Interview Questions

    • Broad questions about these topics:
Linux commands, Linux kernel, Windows Server, Powershell, Active Directory, Networking, DNS, DHCP, RAID, SQL, Subnetting, Mac OS.   Answer Question
    • What do you know about IT security?
What is a hash/MD5?   Answer Question
