The work environment is great, as are the benefits. Its a relatively relaxed work environment, and its nice setting your own schedule. Non-salary benefits are also solid.
The compensation is the biggest problem with GE, as they appear to pay significantly less than other companies that do the same sort of work (though often less regulated!).
Advice to Management
The senior level management is solid. That said, the middle range and even slightly above needs a lot of work. The managers leading the general engineering teams are often underperforming.
