I have been working at General Mills as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great office culture. I did work that I actually saw results from and that I knew had made an impact. It's also pretty cool to be able to work on some of the biggest brands in the business.

    Cons

Went through a lot of fluctuations of being either super busy or not having that much to do.

    Advice to Management

I would say give the interns more to do at the beginning of the internship, but that is when you go through training, so there's not really much you can do about that.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at General Mills (Rogers, AR (US)).

    Interview

Phone interview first, then face-to-face with three people in the office (two directors and a manager). No one could fully explain the job I was interviewing for, nor did I interview with anyone who would be my direct supervisor.

    Interview Questions

    • They asked a lot of "how would you" or "tell me a time when" type questions. One also asked incredibly inappropriate questions and made snide remarks concerning certain people working in the office.   Answer Question
