I have been working at General Mills as an intern (Less than a year)
Great office culture. I did work that I actually saw results from and that I knew had made an impact. It's also pretty cool to be able to work on some of the biggest brands in the business.
Went through a lot of fluctuations of being either super busy or not having that much to do.
Advice to Management
I would say give the interns more to do at the beginning of the internship, but that is when you go through training, so there's not really much you can do about that.

I applied through college or university. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at General Mills (Rogers, AR (US)) in November 2016.
I attended an information session on campus and was brought back for an interview the next day. I was notified via email that I was I invited back for a second round interview. Following that, I was invited to participate in their final round process which included a company dinner the night before. The final round day consisted of an open Q&A, tour, and 3 behavioral interviews. Although it's a selective process, it was very beneficial.
