I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Google (Concord, CA (US)) in September 2018.
At over 3 months from start to finish, this process is painfully slow.
- recruiter interview
- phone interview
- on-site interview
- team match interviews
- svp review
There are several calls in between these as well for scheduling, prep, letting you know if you passed an interview, compensation, etc. I felt like they do a lot to prepare you, which is good, but I spent so much time stressing out over this for so long, I was really just happy it was over. Google is very likely worth going through the interview process (heck, I’ll probably do it again when it’s right), but other big tech companies move twice as fast.
