    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at HotelTonight (Berlin (Germany)) in December 2018.

    Interview

The interview process started with an HR call, which was a bit more exciting than the expected "screenings" because the interviewee was quite sharp with cultural background questions, going straight to nice topics, making quite nice questions.

After that, there was a technical call with an Engineering Manager.
It was good too, no critical points raised from my perspective, no toxic cultural signs and such.

Then, an onsite interview with some members of the team and the Engineering Manager. I had the opportunity to go thought some of the issues of the team, in regards to scalability and performance, but also got some time to figure the relation with Product, by talking to the responsible person. All of the 3 onsite sessions were quite meaningful, pretty much the way I like to conduct interviews as well.

After that I got the last step, with the CTO, which was more cultural fit than technical, but we've chatted about a lot of nice things.

Finally, I got a good offer, the perks and the contract was quite open. Nothing shady at first glance.

    Excited to join!
