Advice to Management
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Max Life Insurance (Gurgaon, Haryana) in July 2019.
There is an acceptable norm of delaying interviews with a plausible reason but then there is Max. Wasted a combined 2.5 hours during all stages. This is not a diss post but I was taken aback with the streamlining of the process and interest level of the recruiter. They have been awarded a few 'great place to work' awards but if the treatment at the entry point is such I wonder what goes inside. There is ghosting then there is Max standard ghosting, no calls no emails; only communication that happened was when there was an interview to be scheduled.
Apart from the time wastage during interviews & ghosting, I had a pretty decent experience with the interviewers. There were 4 level of interviews and a case study. 3 marketing & 1 HR. The interviewers were amicable and were keen on making the entire interaction interesting.
To future candidates, factor in more wait time than the usual interviews.
