I worked at Morgan Stanley as a contractor (More than 3 years)
Just about everyone I worked with was very professional. The company has many social gatherings in house and out. There is never a pressure to skip lunch or work the wee hours. I have found the people I worked with to be very smart and capable.
Recent (significant) cuts in contractors and staff have seriously thinned the ranks. Many project initiatives are on hold. Getting a job with them now is close to impossible.
Advice to Management
Don't cut more than you need.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (Short Hills, NJ (US)) in March 2017.
Applied online after which there was an initial phone screen. Next was a one-on-one phone call with the Associate Complex Manager followed by an in person meeting with him and the branch manager. During the process I had to complete a business plan as well as a 30 minute recorded online interview.
