Advice to Management
I have some ambivalence around the importance of culture fit. On one hand, those that don't fit in, and aren't true believers in the process tend not to stay and thrive. On the other hand, I sometimes wonder if culture fit excludes unique people that would bring something different to the organization. (This comment is unrelated to diversity. The SF office is pretty diverse.)
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Pariveda Solutions (San Francisco, CA (US)) in September 2016.
I met with Pariveda Solutions at a Career Fair on campus with a resume drop and an iPad application. I received an email within a few days inviting me to interview in the SF office. The first interview was on a Thursday and consisted of a 1 hour behavioral interview. I received a phone call later that night with an invitation to return the following day for the case interview portion the next day. The following day was split between three hours on a single case interview (30 min to read information, 30 min to ask questions, 1 hour to solve the case, 1 hour to present), lunch, and then about 2.5 hours on a BAPT test.
Reasons for Declining
Received a more competitive offer from another technical consulting company.
