I worked at Saint-Gobain as a contractor (Less than a year)
Excellent in-house design staff. Very knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile to help you out and get the job done.
After years of not being budget conscious and taking the time to design collateral pieces and needed with designers mainly running the in-house agency, the pendulum has shifted to the other side and the account managers are now running the ship, which translates into micro-managing, breathing down staffs necks and nickel and diming projects.
Advice to Management
Give your employees room to work. Sometimes a two-sided sell sheet takes as long as a 10 page brochure. Just because you can’t internally charge more for the sell sheet, doesn’t mean you should watch the clock on how long it takes to create. An agency (in-house or vendor) is the sum of all it’s projects. If you take a bath on one project, you make it up over the course of all your other projects.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Saint-Gobain (Valley Forge, PA (US)) in May 2015.
Interview process was very easy, I was hired on the spot. I interviewed with Jeff Wing, who is the Senior Accounting Leader. He is a nice guy but he can get off topic and rant about random things. If you are a sports fan I suggest that you bring that up because he will love it. If you show that you are competent that is all that is necessary.
