    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at Wells Fargo (Saint Louis Park, MN (US)) in December 2013.

    Interview

Had a phone interview with the HR rep, phone interview was short and went really well. Within a few days, I had a request for an in-person interview. I was really excited as I was extremely interested in this position. Had an in-person interview with the hiring manager - interview went really well, though the questions were extremely canned. The hiring manager said that these questions were given to her by HR and were all situational. Nothing unexpected -- lots of questions about how you plan for projects, creating project plans, what methodologies used (agile? waterfall? In my case, I've used both -- seemed like this was more on the agile side).

Though the interview went well, I didn't hear anything for a while, even when I followed up with the hiring manager. This particular PM 4 position was with the Home Mortgage group -- because I have a few friends at Wells in IT, I know that the Home Mortgage area is not the most stable.

I eventually received a call from the HR rep in Iowa - she said they would've loved to have offered me the position, but their budget got cut and they cancelled this position last minute.

    Interview Questions

    • Nothing unexpected, just lots of canned questions that the hiring manager had to read off of a document from HR. Was surprised to see this, especially at the grade level for this position.   Answer Question
