I have been working at Agari full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Agari is in a great space where many others are playing catch up and emulating, look at the recent funding in the space. The product is solving tough challenges where solutions did not exist years ago!

Customers actually like, trust and partner with Agari on these problems- they said it is like turning a light on in a dark room! There is a strong need for Agari, and things are taking off!

Leadership, I personally feel respected, acknowledged and valued in my role. Armen has helped grow the company to new records in pipeline quarter after quarter! I trust his leadership and he has always offered to help and gone to bat for his team when asked. The same goes for the rest of leadership, come with solutions to problems and they will work with you. Good people here..

Oh yeah, the view here is top notch!

    Cons

There is a lot of work to be done around here, we are in high growth and lots of changes, which is common in a start up. You do not want to work here if you are used to just skating by, the gas pedal is down!

Sometimes when things change it affects the goals you have, promotions, quota, pipeline, org structure which temporarily delays your personal goals. Happens everywhere, they are trying- have some patience.

    Advice to Management

More offsites, happy hours, keep providing opportunity and growth plans to those who show they want to stay on the rocketship!

    Software Engineer Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took a week. I interviewed at Agari (Raleigh, NC (US)) in September 2018.

    Interview

Initial 30 minute screen with the engineering director about the company, my expectations and background, etc. Then an hour-long live coding exercise on CoderPad. Then a five-hour onsite interview that was broken up into multiple one-hour sessions with pairs of developers. They're interested in seeing how you think, how you engineer, how you consider edge cases and tradeoffs and assumptions.

    Interview Questions

    • Given some classes and subclasses, get this set of tests (asserting behaviors on the parent and children classes) passing.   Answer Question
    • Given this sample SQL schema, show how to get data out of it using different kinds of joins.   Answer Question
    • Write an algorithm that will take two arrays of numbers and merge only the unique values into a final sorted array.   Answer Question
