    Pros

Free snacks, nice office, a lot of autonomy

    Cons

After first year, poor commission structure, poor training, can't keep recruiters

    Advice to Management

Give more realistic previews of the role instead of promising sunshine and butterflies and how easy it is.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at American Traveler (Boca Raton, FL (US)).

    Interview

Had a phone interview first. They were very flexible in scheduling my interview after hours (due to my job at the time it was impossible to take time off for it). The in-person was easy and good.

They gave me a math test with long division etc. I passed it because they left me alone and I googled how to do this middle school math I had forgotten.

Company Updates

  • The employment situation by specialty depends in part on where Coronavirus is spiking. If you are in an area where OR or ER hiring is currently low, you should absolutely consider travel. There are locations where these specialties are needed, and a savvy travel nursing agency can get you there. Some of the nursing specialties seeing an uptick at the moment are Operating Room (including CVOR, PACU, Surgical Techs, and, to a slightly lesser extent, the Emergency Department. Stay tuned, that could change at any time.

  • For those who are wondering, What can I do? Ten ways to support hospital workers during the Coronavirus emergency.
