ArcadisNovember is #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth, honoring Indigenous peoples' history and traditions. Arcadian Jennifer Bennett, PE, MBA, Indigenous Employee Network Co-Founder, is a competitive powwow dancer along with several family members. Powwows are gatherings that celebrate traditional Native American dances and songs, and where dancers wear lavish, hand-crafted regalia. They're open to the public and are a great way for visitors to be introduced to Indigenous culture. Jennifer shares a few tips for respectfully attending a powwow as a guest: - Refer to dancers' clothing as “regalia” or “outfit,” never a "costume." - Don't touch anyone’s regalia—especially feathers. - Ask before taking photos. - Listen to the emcee for directions. - Never take a front-row seat or one reserved with a blanket. - Drugs, alcohol and firearms are always prohibited. Comfy small team of 10, friendly staff members willing to help and educate on the field and projects, Graduate scheme allowed socialising, Offices had optimum focused and relaxed environment to do work. Provided ample equipment + £200 for optimum home desk set up/ ergonomics, truly care for employee health and safety.
