I have been working at Duke University full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Surrounded by brilliant Duke professors, post-docs, and grad students.
Lots of ownership over a project I helped design.
Lots of exposure to many different fields of research in my department.

    Cons

Living in Durham on this pay can be challenging, especially trying to live near campus.

    Advice to Management

Allow research staff the ability to be paid more (Duke currently regulates the upper-cap of what an entry-level research position is allowed to be paid).

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Duke University (Mumbai).

    Interview

Was an amazing experience. The interviewer tried to genuinely find out more about my experience and strengths and weaknesses. It was holistic and satisfactory because they didn't get hung up on one or two of my resume sections but covered everything systematically. They tried to see if I fit into the Duke eco system and would uphold the Duke brand

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

    It was effective and short
