    Initial screening call with internal recruiter then 4 interview stages as follows:

    1. Management experience
    2. Tech interview part 1 (code reading and how code might be improved)
    3. Tech interview part 2 (Live coding observed by senior level engineer)
    4. Culture/values fit.

    Overall, all people involved were nice but as a role pitched as being hands off, mainly people management and process focused; it had a huge emphasis on the tech stages.

    As such, in order to succeed, you would need to have recently transitioned into a management role from being a developer OR to have been doing a hybrid EM role that doesn't include support of a Lead engineer OR preparing for the role like you're applying for a full time developer position.

    Other observations of the process as a whole:

    1. insufficient time was allocated for questions from myself as a candidate through half of the stages. The opportunity could have been valuable in helping learn and gather better insights into the company.

    2. Feedback was only made available at end of all the interview stages which leaves high possibility of wasting candidate time

    3. For 3 out of 4 stages of the interview, they were conducted by a single person. This raises the question of how well candidates are being assessed, leaves a lot of room for unconscious bias in the process and raises concerns about how well the process is supporting diversity and inclusive hiring in the organisations processes
