I worked at Halfords part-time (More than a year)
Good place to start
Good place to work during University
Good overtime opportunities
Bonuses rarely paid even when due
Training was exceptionally poor and generic
Advice to Management
Quit. Let somebody good takeover. I worked in two stores and both had serious flaws. Training won't help people who simply don't understand what empathy is.
I applied online. I interviewed at Halfords (Derby, England (UK)).
Applied online, got an email 2 days later for a phone interview, phone interview was fairly informal they just ask you about customer service roles and why you would like to work at halfords. Then got an email for a road test at halfords which was fairly informal Interview which was in the staff lunch break room. They asked why you would want to work for halfords and about fitting parts to cars.
