I have been working at Meggitt full-time
Great company doing cool things around the world with lots of opportunity and really friendly people
Have not found any yet- people work hard but they do in most companies now
Advice to Management
There is a huge opportunity out there. Go for it.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Meggitt (New York, NY (US)).
Six phone interviews with hiring manager and his peers over a 10-week period for a position I had 16+ years similar experience with at another company. SIX!!! All were positive and interviewers told me they were recommending me to the hiring manager. Was finally told I was last 1 of 2 candidates. I was upfront with the hiring manager and recruiter that I was also interviewing with other companies. A planned onsite interview was twice postponed. When I notified them that I had received (but not accepted) another offer, the next day I was informed they had decided to hire the other candidate without even asking what other salary/benefits the other position entailed. I wasn't looking to get into a bidding war and this hiring process was needlessly strung out.
