Pros
I have used the word 'cushty' to describe how I feel about my role, as to me I feel comfortable, and I think the way the NHSBSA works can suit anyone's lifestyle. The hours are very flexible, for example if you are contracted to 7.5 hours a day you can work anytime between 7am and 6pm. If you have children that you need to drop off at school, you are able to log out of work if you have already started and come back, just ensuring you complete your daily hours. There's also flexi time - which means you can build up time off, or use it to have an early finish. We also aren't required to work weekends. In the two roles that I have worked in, it's been optional whether you want to work in the office or at home, or both. So you can do as many days as you like working from home and as little or as many in the office. There also tends to be opportunities for progression within the business.
Cons
I didn't enjoy my first role within the NHSBSA, but after 9 months I had had two interviews and moved to a different area within the business - which is a positive, because once you have a foot in the door you can move to different areas and find a role that suits you.
