Pros
Company gives stock-to new employees for free
Cons
Been at the company 6 years and *bought* my stock options just to learn that they're giving stock away to NEW employees for free. The people that built this company paid, with work, time, dedication and our money and newbies get it for free.
This is a slap in the face to all long time employees. Public articles came out about it being a wonderful thing for the employees but in reality- old employees were trying to get rid of their options on a secondary market. It's not fair. Toal spin.
Advice to Management
Reward the long standing employees who've paid into buying your stock.
HR still does not have an HR head after more than a year of recruiting-that says a lot and there are so many issues that an attorney is now the head of HR. Maybe they're learned something, maybe it's them.....

Application
I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at NerdWallet (Bengaluru) in September 2018.
Interview
First a telephonic interview with the EM after which they will leave you hanging for weeks. There is no HR also. After 4-5 weeks they'll contact to ask when can you come for F2F interview. After that again they'll forget you for 2 weeks. In F2F interview also, they'll send some random guy who is himself saying he has no idea about frontend and web technologies and hasn't even seen your resume once. Then they'll just send you back hanging again forever. Very irresponsible and irritating behaviour. Its a barely 6 months old company with hardly 6 people team and they really don't know how to treat candidates nor do they have any value for them.
