    Pros

Throughout the training process, the firm makes a point to showcase every avenue within PFM. There’s something for everybody that enjoys public finance.

While exhibiting a fairly standard hierarchical structure, (most) senior-level employees are very willing to listen and help.

    Cons

Can get slammed with work sometimes (long hours, work weekends).

Pay could be higher in early stages.

    Interview

Had a phone screening a few months ago, and honestly should have read reviews on Glassdoor before following through with it. The interviewer cancelled my initial screening, and when we finally had it, she was incredibly uninterested. Heard noise in the background constantly, making me feel like she wasn't fully concentrated in the interview. Really bad first impression of the company.
