"Best company I've worked for, with a great corporate IT culture"

Former Employee - Senior IT Manager in Centennial, CO
Recommends
Positive Outlook
No Opinion of CEO

I worked at Pearson full-time for more than a year

Pros

Pearson was by far the best company I'd worked for, and were it not for COVID-19 changing life circumstances, I would still be there. I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to work on hard problems

Cons

-Levels of bureaucracy and large organization mean decisions take a while to make -Company will make investments in things without fully thinking through, only to discard later, when more thorough

Advice to Management

-Leverage the talent you already have, and try to stop the bleeding of redunancies/layoffs -Improve reputation with learners by continuing to adopt 'as a service' models -Consolidate IT

A big congratulations to Rachel Coulson, SVP Finance! Recently, Rachel received an award from our CEO and the leadership team for leading a step change for the finance team to a more data-driven and leading indicator predictive approach, taking on both personal and professional risks along the way.
