I have been working at Reservations.com full-time (Less than a year)
The entire team is extremely nimble. This can be overwhelming for some, but for those that are interested in getting hands-on experience, it is extremely exciting. Good ideas are rewarded with the autonomy to execute. This leads you to working on very interesting things and creating your own path within the company.
Management is extremely involved in the day-to-day. This is nice as it gives everyone a constant pulse on where their thinking is and where things are heading.
Sometimes the flat culture and quick-paced nature of the business means sacrificing efficiency for the sake of longer-term employee development. As the company grows, this will be something that needs to be worked out.
Advice to Management
Continue building out the team and supporting great talent. Maintain current culture as the company scales.
I applied through other source. The process took a week. I interviewed at Reservations.com (Orlando, FL (US)) in February 2017.
I was initially contacted by the hiring manager via LinkedIn.com. After a quick back and forth thru messenger we scheduled a phone/exploration call to give me the opportunity to learn about the company and the role being hired for to see if I'd be a good fit. After learning some basic information about the company, their recent growth and business strategy I was intrigued and excited for the opportunity at hand as I thought I'd be a good fit for the team. Next we scheduled a meeting at the office so that I could see and meet some of the team, ask and be asked some additional questions and get a better perspective about the company as a whole.
