    Application

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Rio Tinto (Gurgaon, Haryana) in March 2019.

    Interview

In person interview at the Gurgaon/India office location.

    Cons:
    No stable organization structure.
Small India office operations - mostly providing support function & outsourced type of work, approx 300 employees.
Core/key roles are in Singapore & Australia.
Lack of Job Security & uncertainty on long term progress, more interested on 3rd party payroll.
They have a notice period of 2 months but expect you to join in a month!
Limited interview interaction, recruiter was more interested to communicate via automated email than on call/phone.

    Interview Questions

    • Technical Questions on current job role.   Answer Question
    • Interviewer was more interested on details like - what are work timings, where do you live, how do you commute to work, notice period etc. (surely not appreciated for a mid level management position).   Answer Question
