Rolls-Royce – Why Work For Us?

What we do

At Rolls-Royce we impact the world by being free to innovate, explore and be brilliant.

We deliver products and services that solve some of the world’s most complex problems and that the world relies on to perform day after day.

We’ve designed the world’s most eco-friendly ships, powered nuclear submarines and enabled land-speed records. We’ve created the world’s most efficient large aero-engine, game-changing engineering solutions for supersonic jets and even supported NASA missions on the edge of space.

Our business

We’re split in to three Business Units (Civil Aerospace, Defence and Power Systems) which align with our strategic vision to pioneer cutting-edge technologies that deliver vital power.

We’re one of the world’s leading producers of aero engines for large civil aircraft and corporate jets, and the second largest provider of defence aero engines in the world. We design vessels and integrate power systems for the marine sector, and we have a growing presence in civil nuclear power, drawing on our skills and experience of over 50 years in powering nuclear submarines. Our MTU brand is world-renowned in high-speed diesel engines powering applications as diverse as rail locomotives and luxury yachts.

We support our customers through a worldwide network of offices, manufacturing and service facilities.

Our journey in India started over 85 years ago with the powering of the first civil and military aircraft. Since then, we’ve been pioneering the power that matters to our customers with our technologically-advanced products, innovative solutions and diverse services.

Today, our belief in India’s skilled talent is enabling us to grow our engineering footprint, invest in skills and local partnerships, build world-class digital, manufacturing and supply chain capabilities and embrace future opportunities.

As India progresses, technology will play a bigger role in all spheres of industry, society and nation-building. Our talented team working across our civil aerospace, defence aerospace and power systems businesses strengthen our commitment to deliver the technological solutions required to meet India’s growth and help shape the future of Rolls-Royce in India.

Looking ahead, we will continue to build our historical strengths and grow our local presence, and to help us do this we need a team of brilliant people.

Our people are our power

People owning the moment, being brilliant and changing the future. People creating amazing products and services that have a profound impact on the world and other people’s lives.

We cannot deliver our vision without the commitment, skills and ingenuity of our employees. Therefore, we’re committed to creating a working environment and culture where our people are able to be at their best.

An inclusive culture where there is respect and appreciation for diversity; one that empowers our people to be themselves, be curious, collaborative and bold enough to challenge convention; one that is open minded and unafraid of failure, enabling our people – and our business – to be agile and change with pace.

Join us and you’ll be proud to be part of an organisation with an enduring and pioneering history that invests hundreds of millions of pounds every year in people, technology and innovation: a company that encourages and fulfils ambitions, trusts you to deliver, and rewards you accordingly.

Be rewarded by us

We want you to be both inspired and rewarded by the work you do for us.

We offer a range of benefits and rewards that reflects our status as a leading global employer. These vary depending on your location and your role, but can include things like share plans, pensions and healthcare. We also work hard to create an environment where business objectives and job requirements are clear, so everyone is rewarded both for their personal contribution and the overall success of our business.

I applied online. The process took 5+ months. I interviewed at Rolls-Royce (Bengaluru) in July 2015.

It went well. The interviewer was very understanding and patient and it seemed more like a session to interact rather than a formal Q&A round. I could explain my skills and experiences in good detail allowing them to ask technical questions on them.
