Company Updates

As part of #CarersWeek, we’ve launched our Carer Policy and Passport scheme in response to the growing number of carers across our company. With Carers UK estimating there are currently 6.5m carers in the UK and, as that number continues to rise, it’s important carers are aware of the support available to them. We recognise many of our own colleagues are currently balancing work with caring responsibilities and that these responsibilities place additional demand on their personal, professional and social lives. Head over to our website to see what Emma-Jane Stewart, Employee Experience Manager and unpaid carer to her mother had to say.

We’ve partnered with Hestia Charity, their UK SAYS NO MORE campaign, and Royal Mail Group to provide Online Safe Spaces for victims of domestic abuse to access specialist support and information through our website, It’s a portal that you can access from the footer of our website. By clicking the Safe Spaces logo, you’ll access the Online Safe Space, which holds a directory of national domestic abuse helplines, local specialist domestic abuse services and an assessment questionnaire. It also leaves no trace in your browser history. We’re proud to be the first energy network to launch the portal on our website. Safety is at the heart of everything we do. We’re committed to doing all we can to keep our people and the communities we work in safe in as many ways as possible.
