I worked at Santander full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Santander offers good money and formal classroom training for their entry level Front End Account Manager position. Yes, it is collections, but these front end accounts are only 30 days are less past due. It's more like a cashier position meaning easy collections. Another thing I like about Santander is they are willing to give most people a chance, the young, the old, the blind, those in need of a second chance. they give excellent training so you can succeed. The hire and promote from within. I started as an Insurance Clerk and ended as a collector on Chrysler Capital Early Stage. They don't hold back on the money, in addition to an hourly rate there is a bonus structure.

    Cons

The hours are not 9-5. There will be some saturdays. There will be some late night shifts. (1:00pm to 10:00 pm.)

    Advice to Management

I don't have any advice to management. All the manager I dealt with were all about helping me to succeed. They are will to hire the very young, right out of highschool and that forces them to be babysitters sometimes, as in mico manage.
