I have been working at Strata Decision Technology full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Strata is very focused on growing the skills and careers of current employees. The business is growing 20-30% per year. With this growth, plus the development of new modules, bringing in new functionality such as advanced analytics and building new services, there are always new roles and new types of roles opening up.
Strata has focused on building and maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction throughout it's growth. When issues arise with customers, tech services, product, client services, experience management and leadership work together to try to resolve the issues. As someone who works with clients, I can say that Strata genuinely wants to do what is right for clients AND the company.

    Cons

Not really a con in the big picture of being part of a successful company... but Strata takes accountability seriously. Employees are expected to perform consistently against expectations for this role. If people are not performing well, leaders share feedback and coach people to get better. Feedback and coaching happen for everyone - a lot. For some people, even strong performers, getting a lot of feedback and coaching can feel overwhelming, even though it is meant to help grow someone's skills.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Strata Decision Technology (Chicago, IL (US)).

    Interview

Applied on their website. Had an introduction call with a recruiter where we went over the position and company. He did call their company a “family” which can be a red flag depending on how you view it. After the call he said he would check with the hiring manager regarding next steps. I didn’t hear back for a week so I emailed him. He said that he was on vacation which was why he didn’t get back to me, and that they were going to pursue other candidates. Being on vacation isn’t an excuse to ghost candidates. I’d be more that okay if you reached out to me first regarding my candidacy. Another weird thing was that I got an auto generated email a few months later about the position and that it was closed.

Company Updates

  • There is no room for intolerance, discrimination, or harassment of any kind. We must not tolerate it. We must not be silent. We stand together.

  • We were thrilled to virtually host an awesome group of interns this summer who each made an impact at Strata in just 10 weeks. Check out our latest Instagram post to hear from each of them. Here is just one perspective: "Everyone was so willing to provide help and guidance whenever I had a question, plus there is a lot of motivation and passion surrounding the work. It made the initiatives that I worked on feel very meaningful." Best of luck to all of you as you take on your next challenge and thank you for spending your summer @ Strata!!
