    Application

    I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at TPP Recruitment (London, England (UK)) in April 2019.

    Interview

    A telephone interview was arranged after applying for a consultant role. The telephone interview lasted an hour. The hour went quickly because I really enjoyed the process. It wasn't just an interview; it was a professional conversation.

    The Manager took the time to explain the role in detail and to explain the company culture and their ways of working with plenty of examples so I got a very good picture of what is like working for TPP.

    At the end of the interview, the Manager asked me, instead of the typical 'do you have any questions', if I had any concerns regarding the role; or if there was anything else I would like to know about working for TPP.

    The Manager came across as open, honest and down to earth; a real people person. That approach allowed me to relax and feel comfortable. A telephone interview can be very stressful since you cannot see the person on the other side and the rapport you build when you look at someone in the eye is lost.

    I was given the opportunity to explain my past working experiences but also the time to reflect and provide the best possible answers.

    After the telephone interview, I have been put forward for the next step, a face-to-face interview.
