A big part of our culture at Tesco is to develop new skills. Nichola Swallow, Learning Design Manager from the UK Capability team tells us about some of the new learning tools that colleagues can use to get on at Tesco.
“I really like our new digital learning solutions such as video’s and podcasts, they allow me to fit learning in whenever and wherever I have a spare moment. The learning through experience ideas have also been a great help. I am now consciously looking for opportunities to gain new experiences on the job to help me develop and grow. With the support of my line managers it’s really helped focus my personal development.
I’ve been learning a lot around our Colleague Experts skills. It’s a new area for me but one I can see adding real value to the role I do now and how I collaborate with my colleagues. I’ve been using what I’ve learned so far to help me prepare for important stakeholder meetings and it has resulted in some really productive and helpful conversations.”
