Mission: Our aim is to always exceed the expectations of our clients, staff and suppliers.
I have been working at Trailfinders full-time (More than 10 years)
Trailfinders is a great company to work for, and one of the standout employers in the travel industry. The salary is substantial (especially with bonuses factored in), the opportunity to travel excellent, and you get to work with a great bunch of like minded people. They only promote from within so the potential for promotion and advancement is high. The atmosphere amongst staff is top notch, and there are plenty of opportunities to travel whilst working here. I've worked for Trailfinders for more than ten years, and genuinely look forward to going to work each day. No one day is the same, and I've had plenty of opportunities to try new roles and work in different locations over the years. Trailfinders invests heavily in its staff, and with a great training programme and local support network there's no reason not to succeed in a career here.
The hours can be long, and sometimes unsociable, but hey that's retail for you. The directors have recently made big improvements to flexibility in the working roster following feedback from staff, and I can think of very few downsides to working for this great company.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Trailfinders in June 2014.
You have to complete a lengthy application form online, then if you are successful recieve a telephone interview based on your values and what skills you could bring to the role, finally a 3 hour interview in branch which consisted of a written assessment and face to face interview.
India Familiarisation Trip
"The bright red sun dipped below the horizon, the stars came out in the clear sky above and our fascinating tour of Chittaurgarh ended with a spectacular ‘Light and Sound’ show at the atmospheric ruins of the Temple of Lord Shiva."
Gavin, one of our Dublin Travel Consultants who we sent to India to experience the Palace on Wheels. This magnificent train journey took him from Delhi to Jaisalmer and several places in-between.
Western Australia Familiarisation Trip
‘Driving out from Fremantle, we spent a night at the beautiful Pullman Bunker Bay. A very easy two-hour drive, Bunker Bay is a fantastic white sand bay close to Western Australia’s famous wine region. The Pullman is a modern, luxurious spa resort situated on a remote end of the beach. Surrounded by wild native bush this is the perfect spot for exploring the famous regional cave formations.’
James, a travel consultant from our St Albans Travel Centre, who we sent on a 10-day fly drive trip to experience Western Australia for himself.
