I have been working at Visual Meta full-time (Less than a year)
People are awesome: average 30 y.o., 50 nationalities, friendly and easy going
Free drinks, coffee, cappuccino, fresh fruit, cereals
Well equipped kitchens where you can cook your own meal, and people will likely joining you
Flexible working-hours, compulsory presence 10am-4pm
Old technologies JSP + jQuery + CSS (no frameworks like Bootstrap)
Old codebase, meaning that lots of features were self developed instead of using frameworks or products out there (probably because they didn't exist back in the days)
Code quality is often moved to the background in favor of having new features released quickly, which is equal to..
Lack of architectural long-term sight
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Visual Meta (Berlin (Germany)) in September 2017.
The process has been fluid and clear. It lasted around 2 weeks, first interview on phone, then at the Hq with the recruiting manager and the head of sales. On site it lasted around 3 hours . The interview was interesting and the questions relevant.
