    Application

    I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Walmart (Bengaluru) in September 2018.

    Interview

    Applied through a referral. After a brief phone call with HR, a F2F interview was scheduled. I went expecting a easy interview but was surprised by the difficulty of questions. Still managed to clear all the rounds.

    In total there were 3 technical rounds ranging from 30 mins to an hour. Some HR questions also thrown in the mix for my role like how do you deal with non cooperative junior etc.

    The interview process was ok but HR here are somewhat rude and uncaring. No time given to decide after the offer was sent. To simply hear the offer numbers you have to go to the office. No negotiation whatsoever. BV started even before I accepted the offer. I also felt that the job description is being somewhat sugar coated. Feedback received from friends and other sources let me know that the work here is quite hectic and work-life balance is skewed.

    Overall the company environment and policies felt unfriendly to me and so I rejected the offer. The pay maybe good but do talk with the hiring manager (not HR rep) before you accept to understand what is expected of you.
