I have been working at Wonolo full-time (Less than a year)

    - When I first started I was skeptical that this was too good to be true. From day one, I was welcomed by each team, every person I came into contact with, and felt truly needed. Several months later.... still true! I can't begin to say how happy I am with this company. I feel truly blessed to be a part of this organization.
    - Every member of the leadership team actually cares about every single person employed here as well as our Wonoloers. That is truly hard to find someone who actually does what they say they will do and stands by their decisions whole-heartedly to support their teams.
    - I feel incredibly supported and have everything I need to do my job, including the authority to make decisions and calculated risks for my customers.

    - Although it's outside of your control, I do miss being in an office with my peers!
    - We need more ops folks! Our team is fantastic, but they need some help in spreading the workload.

    Advice to Management

    - Please keep hosting the virtual events. We may not be able to attend all of them, but I'm so glad we have them on our calendars.
    - Thank you for being so transparent with us on all of the company-related decisions. I very much appreciate being in the know and hearing the reasons why we are doing what we're doing.
    - Keep your heads up. We all get frustrated and times are incredibly tough, but your teams are so happy to be here and stand by you.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Wonolo (Nashville, TN (US)) in August 2020.

The entire interview process was incredibly organized and thoughtfully executed. My initial phone screening concluded with next steps and timelines which were all upheld! My second call with the Sr. Regional Sales Manager also set clear expectations on content of the call and next steps. The Super Day consisted of multiple 30-min interviews with various teams and a short presentation with a provided prompt. The cross-functional cultural interview was one of the best indicators of a healthy work environment. Connecting with individuals from different teams and varying lengths of tenure with Wonolo showed a common thread among all employees .

  • Wonolo is now a remote-first company! There are many reasons to choose going remote-first, including lower costs, increased access to talent, and better work life balance, to name a few. For us, it came down to an alignment with our mission to provide the community of workers who use our platform with the flexibility and independence they seek. Becoming remote-first didn't happen overnight, but going through most of the transition during a pandemic helped us recognize that, despite the many challenges we will face, it was the right move for us. And we are hiring and welcome qualified candidates across the US and Canada!
